David Billings

David Billings makes his living with his art. Most of his work is seen in marketing materials, TV, and web sites, but more recently the children's publishing industry has decided that he's an OK dude with art they can sell.

Some of his more recognizable clients include MTV Networks, Highlights Magazine, Sesame Workshop, and Nickelodeon. Some of his less recognizable clients include dry erase board, that famous lawyer, Grandma, and bar napkin.

He's won some awards and trains lots of other artists how to do this stuff, too. Besides live workshops, David created Digital Illustration School, an online video course that allows students to go through his process on a real project. It's kind of like sitting next to him without worrying about that garlic sandwich you ate for lunch.

David lives with his wife and kids on an alpaca farm near a dormant volcano called Mt. Hood. He wants to be the first one to see it erupt. Before it does, he would love to hear from other artists and writers. You can contact him through his web site at sparkyfirepants.com.
